1. This product is soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in oil, stable in the pH range of general cosmetics, and soluble with cationic, anionic and non-ionic surfactants.
2. It is used as humectant, lubricant and foam improver in cosmetics and toiletries.
3. It is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of fatty acid esters.
